Star Trek: The Final Frontier?

Looks like the Star Trek franchise may be headed to where many have gone before: the scrap heap.

With Star Trek: Enterprise struggling, and the last Trek movie a box office bust, Viacom's Video Vulcan Les Moonves yesterday said the long-running franchise may be on its last legs, although no official decision has been made.

This will not be a popular choice amonsts several of my fellow geeks, but my feeling is clear: take this horse behind the shed and put a bullet in it already.

  • Moonves can suck my moon. Enterprise deserves a 7 year run. It's starting to hit its stride now. If it does go away, I could be hopeful that Sci-Fi would consider picking it up.
