Ratings Nuggets

The second hour of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on Sunday was the week's top program with young adults (6.3 million viewers) and No. 2 to CSI in total viewers (11.7 million)... Pam Anderson's Comedy Central Roast nabbed cable's biggest young-adult audience of the week, with 2.9 million viewers... Boston Legal, returning with a rerun to its new Tuesday ABC time slot, finished third in its timeslot... FX comedies Starved and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia dropped a third of their audience from their already anemic premieres, while Iraq war drama Over There held steady from its prior week... HBO's originals are faring well: Entourage scored an all-time high of 2.6 million viewers Sunday, while the suicide-inducing Six Feet Under also hit a season-high 3.2 million viewers.

  • I am very surprised that ABC decided to schedule a new episode of Home Edition in early August, long before the official start of the TV season.

The official season premiere isn't until September 25th. Great job ABC on delivering a new episode of a hit show in the middle of the summer!
