Viewers Who Missed Season Premiere Won't Be Lost

ABC will repeat the Lost season opener after receiving calls from irate viewers who missed part of the episode because of hurricane-related news pre-emptions.

Apparently seeing the Emmy winning drama is more important to some than finding out when the roof is gonna blow off their trailer.

The network will postpone Wednesday's scheduled premieres of George Lopez and Freddie for a week to make room for the rerun. The drama's second episode will still air at 9 p.m.

Last week's premiere nabbed an all-time high of 23.4 million viewers.

  • Big loss here to George Lopez fans... yeah right. Luckily Freddie had very few fans. Wanna see ABC do something smart? Air the episode with an alternate audio track of commentary. The ratings would go thru the roof. The rerun will surely win its time slot.

  • Commentary for season premiere of Lost would go something like...

JJ Abrams: Yeah, so we were doing bong hits over the summer, and we said, "What's the most ridiculous in-hatch scenarion we could thing of? Our audience will eat up whatever sillyness we make up!"

Matthew Fox: Dude! I need to get more bad tattoos!
