Caving Cable Operators Trying To Stay Ahead of The Big, Bad FCC

Several top cable companies are planing to launch packages of family-oriented channels, an industry official said on Monday.

It's an early response to pressure from regulators to weed out content deemed indecent.

... wussies...

Senate lawmakers and FCC Chairman Kevin Martin have been pressing cable and satellite companies to offer consumers better "family friendly" options for children to watch, or permit subscribers to pay only for the channels they want.

...hey, if it gets the FCC off their backs (which I doubt it will, long-term), it's a smart move...
