OLN Nabs Survivor

Outdoor Life Network, known for scintillating recreational programming such as skiing and bull riding, has outwitted, outplayed, and outlasted the other cable networks to nab the syndication rights to Survivor.

The deal is for the first ten seasons, which have completed production, with the option for OLN to acquire seasons 11 and 12. Repeats will be airing on OLN beginning July 24th.

A spokesperson says not to worry- Babe Winkelman's Good Fishing and Lindner's Angling Edge will be seen at their regular times.

Whew! I was worried!

Will They Just Go Away? Nope

Just when we thought we'd be rid of those gnat-like stars of Will & Grace after its (hopefully) final season, NBC has gone and signed up Megan Mullally to host a nationally syndicated talk show.

Mullally, who won an Emmy in 2000 for her role as Karen Walker on Will & Grace, will premiere her talk show in the fall of 2006, entering the fray with Ellen, Martha, and Tony Danza.

Carson Daly Takes Last Call to LA

...and he's taking his nine viewers with him, thank you very much.

But seriously, Carson may only have nine viewers- but at least they're all in that coveted 18-34 demo.

The Chief is Back on Duty

I'm back on the beat after a few well-deserved days in Tube Rehab (no 24 or Lost, just enough Will and Grace to get you to lunge for the off button).

Special thanks to JoeVideo for a great job keeping the lights on around here in my absence.

Nip and Tucker: Carlson's new MSNBC gig gets name

The new 9 pm gab-a-thon on MSNBC will be titled The Situation With Tucker Carlson . The show debuts Monday 6/13. The overall look, including the graphics, will have a very sportstalk-oriented look and feel to it.

Carlson will also appear this Friday on the grand finale of Crossfire on CNN, his old stomping grounds.
