Weekend Tube

Friday: On Comedy Central, the Daily Show Friday-Saturday-Sunday void gets filled with D.L. Hughley's new talk show Weekends at the D.L.

Sunday: Two new offerings tonight- and neither of them are reality, thankfully. First, Lifetime gets into the "limited series" game as Rob Lowe and Julia Ormond star in Beach Girls, an adaptation of Luanne Rice's novel. Then on TNT, new crime fighting drama Wanted starts its hunt for ratings.

Simply Ridiculous

Looks like The Simple Life is going to get a lot more complicated.

Despite the fact that stars Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton are feuding, Fox has picked up TV's longest running one-joke show for a fourth season.

Rumors say Richie was ditched by her crony after screening Paris' infamous sex tape with friends one night.

Fox chief Peter Ligouri admitted as far as he knew, the two hadn't made up, but producers would figure out a concept, regardless.

This show is annoying enough as it is, but will two bickering stars make it more watchable? Maybe. More likely, Fox should have used this as its cue to cut bait.

Viewers Go Over There

FX has another hit on its hands.

Stephen Bochco's Iraq war drama Over There got off to a good start Wednesday, snaring 4.1 million viewers for its premiere.

It was the night's most-watched cable show and roughly matched the premiere of Rescue Me in July 2004.
