Fat Dance

Kirstie Alley, 55 pounds lighter but still not what I'd call svelte, showed Oprah the dancing routine she used to shed the weight.

The two portly pepperpots then "got down" with their fat selves.

The real winner was NBC, who saw ratings for the flailing and failing drama get a nice bump.

Your Favorite Network Shows- On Demand

NBC and CBS are taking the next step into making TV more non-linear.

... the future is now...

Both networks announced Monday plans to put many of their hit prime-time shows "on-demand"- and commercial free- for under a buck an episode.

... or, get a TiVo, and do it yourself, at no additional charge...

The plan will allow viewers access to prime-time shows the following day, through their television. The plan does not portable digital devices like ABC's Apple deal that potentially puts Desperate Housewives and Lost on video iPods.

NBC's shows will be available via DirecTV; CBS's, on Comcast.
